GAR: The New High Performing Thin Interface Thermal Material
Sarcon GAR
is our latest
Thin Film Thermal Material
added to our Thermal Portfolio. GAR is rated to 3W/m-K (ASTM D2326 Hot Wire Test Method), the highest of our Thin Film Materials, manufactured by Fujipoly, whilst maintaining a very low Thermal Resistance of 0.17°Cin2/W.
GAR offers excellent mechanical and physical characteristics due to the materials combination of heat conductive silicone rubber within glass fiber cloth. With a selection of three thicknesses available in 0.2mm, 0.3mm and 0.45mm, we can meet customers’ requirements of thickness and high performance.
GAR is available in two different constructions; Plain type (GAR) or with a Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (GAR-AD). The PSA construction allows for an easier mounting option by simply removing the protective liner and pressing the material into position. This mounting option can be useful for customers to ensure there is no damage to the very thin material during the assembly process.
OSCO can provide this material in tape, pre-cut sheets or die-cut to specific dimensions and drawings to both small prototype quantities and high volume manufacturing.
